The first PTA meeting of the new school year took place on September 7, 2010, at 9am. The usual time for meetings will now be 9am on the first Tuesday of each month. This is a change from last year, when PTA meetings were in the evenings.
The meeting was well attended. I believe that Principal Steffan’s count was about 50, and I believe that he was counting adults (and not the young and well-behaved kids who were there with parents). Apparently, attendances at last year’s meetings were usually in single digits.
Business included: introduction of PTA officers; discussion of fundraising; information about the picnic that took place after school the following day; and approval of the PTA budget.
